CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety (Refresher)

Introduction

This qualification is aimed at employees who have previously achieved the Level 2 Award in Food Safety, to remind them of their responsibilities towards food safety, keep their knowledge up-to-date and become aware of any changes in legislation.

Who will benefit?

All candidates who have taken the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety are recommended to take a refresher course three years after completion.

Learning outcomes

Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable candidates to understand:

• their personal responsibility for food safety
• the importance of keeping themselves clean and hygienic
• how working areas are kept clean and hygienic
• the importance of keeping food safe

Entry Qualifications and Progression

In order to enrol for a refresher qualification, candidates must provide evidence of having previously undertaken and passed a Level 2 Award in Food Safety course. Following this course you might wish to consider the CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Safety. 

Assessment

The method of assessment is a multiple choice examination at the end of the course. Candidates are required to correctly answer 20 out of 30 questions in order to pass the course.

Venue

Courses are held at our training centres or alternatively can be held in house at your premises.

Half a day

We usually aim to start the course at 9am and finish by 5pm
