Introduction

Asbestos poses a serious threat to health. It is estimated that up to half a million non-domestic buildings in the UK contain some form of asbestos and that up to 4000 people die every year as a result of asbestos exposure.

Who will benefit?

This training will be of benefit to managers, supervisors and employees who are involved in the control of buildings and their maintenance. This course would also benefit company owners and directors who have a responsibility for health and safety and require a sound overview of the issues surrounding Asbestos control, legislation and best practice procedures.

• Licensable work and notification to the enforcement agencies

• Protection of staff and contractors (prevention of exposure)
• Control measures and management action to reduce and prevent exposure

PowerPoint presentation, syndicate exercises and end of course test paper.

Half a day 

We usually aim to start the course at 9am and finish by 12.30pm
