NEBOSH International General Certificate

Who will benefit?

This course is aimed at managers, supervisors and employee representatives based outside the UK.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a valuable foundation for further professional study.

Assessment and Certification

Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A Certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment.

The practical assessment is arranged by us and carried out in a simulated workplace environment.

The NEBOSH International Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.

The pass rate for this course is in excess of 90%. We also get a high number of Credits and Distinctions.

Element 4 – Promoting a Positive Health & Safety Culture
Element 5 – Risk Assessment
Element 6 – Principles of Control
Element 7 – Monitoring, Review and Audit
Element 8 – Occupational Incident and Accident Investigation, Recording and Reporting

Unit 2 – Control of International Workplace Hazards (IGC2):

Element 1 – Movement of People and Vehicles – Hazards and Control
Element 2 – Manual and Mechanical Handling – Hazards and Control
Element 3 – Working Equipment – Hazards and Control
Element 4 – Electrical Hazards and Control
Element 5 – Fire – Hazards and Control
Element 6 – Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Control
Element 7 – Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Control
Element 8 – Construction Activities – Hazards and Control
